WEEEEEE! It's Almost Christmas!

Yay! It is almost Christmas time! I love Christmas because Mom and Dad always get me my own stocking, and lots of presents! Plus there is always lots and lots of food around! AND there is always extra special food at our house at this time of the year because Mom and Dad got married on Christmas Eve, so Mom cooks good stuff around that day to remind Dad that he should stay with her forever and ever because she is a good cook! Last year Dad graduated from college a few days before Christmas and we had a party for him! Boy was that fun! I wonder if that is happening again? Oh, Mom says no!!! Oh Well.
We put up our Christmas tree the day after Thanksgiving. It was fun and it looked really nice, but the kitties tipped it the other night and now it is lopsided and looks a little bit sad and worse for the wear!
Last night Mom made Cookies for Dad to take to work and I got to eat the extras! Boy were they good! But this morning my poo was green and red, so Mom says no more cookies for me, at least, not for awhile!

BRRRRR Cold!

Brr! It is sooooooo cold here in Colorado these days!
Yesterday the high was only 15 degrees f and we got almost six inches of snow (which is now ice).
Today the high is supposed to be about 31 degrees, but I don't really think that that extra fifteen degrees does much!
I hate the cold! And not only because it is cold, but because of the way that Mom and Dad react to me when I am cold. For example, this morning I came in from my constitutional and wanted to greet Mom, but when she saw me coming she jumped up and ran, yelling "Oh no! Here come those cold Paws!". My paws were cold, I admit, but sheesh, you would think that she wasn't wearing pants or something and that my paws were going to touch her bare skin!
Anyways, it has been so chilly that when I come in from outside Mom has been wrapping me up, on my new quilted pillow, in my nice new quilted blanket (actually, Mom made the pillow and the quilt for Dad to have on his chair, so that he could be warm, but they are both mine now).
When Mom woke me up to help her write this blog I was so far under the quilt that Mom couldn't even see my face (so in other words, I was WARM). But now I am cold and going back to my quilt!

Seriously, Do You See Any Grays?

Hello Everyone!
How was your Thanksgiving?
Mine was awful because I caught "e-col-i" (aka the barfing shits), from the dumb ducks at Sloans Lake (stupid ducks). So, because I had the e-thingy I had to stay at home and not go to visit our family with Mom and Dad.
Apparently, THEY had an ok time, they both drank heavily.
Anyways, Thanksgiving is over and something much more important has come up... I found some gray hairs on my chin this morning!!! How is this possible? I am not even 2 years old yet! And yet, there they are, those evil gray hairs, messing up my pretty black mask!
Now, be honest, can you see the grays?
Love, (but only if you can't see the grays),

Driving

Hello! Everyone! In the picture to the left you can see where I sit when Mom and I go for a drive - I usually sit on Mom's left leg, against the drivers side door. I have a lot of fun there because the view is so good, and I get to help Mom drive. You might be wondering about my seat belt - we still have it, and I wear it when I am a bad pug and lunge, but I have recently learned that not lunging at open windows, and consequently not having to wear the seat belt is more fun!!

How Many of Us?

Hi Everyone! How have you all been for the last few days? I have been well, except, I went to Dad's work with him and Mom while they did an oil change on Jill (fun fun fun running around in a huge industrial garage), but I got in trouble (for trying to eat a moldy dead mouse and then handing it to Mom), and then when we got home I had to have a BATH....NOOOOOOOOOOOOO! Oh well, I still had a lot of fun!
Mom stole this neat website from one of the blogs that she reads everyday (http://www.pugposse.blogspot.com), on the website that Mom borrowed you can look up our name and find out how many other people have the same name as you! Cool - huh?
It turns out that Mom is the only person in the U.S.A. to have her first and last name combination (although over 100,000 people have our last name), and there are no humans in the US with the name Jemima Jones!!! Aren't I unique? Dad on the other hand shares his name with over 800,000 people!! Wow! Grandma Andrea is also very unique - only two other people have her name! If you want to look up your name then go to this link: www.howmanyofme.com
In the picture above you can see me sitting in front of the door to our studio, its a big door huh? Or maybe I am just really small!

When I Take Mom for a Walk, I Take Her to Sloans Lake...!

Hello Everyone!
Jemima Jones Beck here! I am sorry that it has been a few days since I have posted but I have been working on getting new pictures for my blog for you all to look at! I thought that it might be fun for you all to see the place where I take Mom for walks in the morning after we drop Dad off at work.
Almost everyday, Mom and I walk around Sloans Lake, which is near downtown Denver. It is a man made lake that was created one hundred and fifty years ago by a farmer named, you guessed it, Sloan. He started to dig a well and hit an underground spring. When he came back to

dig on his well some more the next day he found out that the underground spring that he hit had flooded more than 200 acres! Today the lake is still a 200 acre lake, and people race "dragon boats" around it. It is three miles to walk all the way around, and it takes Mom and I about forty minutes, or so, depending on how frequently I stop to poo, or to look at the ducks.

Amazingly, we show up at the same time everyday to walk, and so do a lot of other people, so we are always passed by or passing the same people, including "squeaky shoes lady", "bearded man with dog", "swishy pants girl", "fisher-dudes", and "man who smokes while he jogs in a purple shirt". We also pass ducks, as you can see in one of the pictures to the left!!!!

We pass the same buildings everyday, as well. The first major one that we pass is the Denver Orphanage, you can see it in one of the pictures to the left! We also pass Centura Health, and a famous architects house, and an adobe monument, complete with torpedo, that memorializes the people who fought in World War II, and a cool view of the Denver skyline, which you can see to the left! There is also this weird DARK couple that follows us the whole way around the lake, every day (see the last picture to the left). The woman in the couple seems to have no arms, and the dog is oddly lumpy, but they keep us company so I guess that they are ok! Well, better go! love to all! Jemima Jones Beck

Grandma Andrea

Hello Everyone! I just have time to share this cute little picture with you all really quickly!
The picture to the left is of me and my favorite Grandma, Andrea. Mom and Dad and I do a lot with Grandma Andrea. Sometimes we eat at her house, or do laundry there, or even help her and Leo make travel reservations, ( I got to sit on Leo's desk while we did that, yippee)! On Halloween we even went to Grandma Andrea's work and visited all of her co-workers (Grandma works for Jefferson County Human Services, so we went to a Government building)!!!
I like this picture because it shows me sitting on Grandma, like I love to do!! I always get so excited when she is around that I forget my training just a little bit, but oh well!
In the background of the picture you can see the one of the alabaster bowls that Mom and Grandma brought back from their trip to Egypt two years ago (Mom and Dad got me about a week after Mom got back from Egypt, so I don't actually remember Mom going to Egypt, but I have heard about it, and actually, when I was a puppy and Mom was making her scrapbook from Egypt, I peed on the cover. I am ashamed to admit it, but I was only six weeks old and not potty trained yet). Anyways, isn't that cool?
Love,
