Update...

Hello! Everyone and Merry (late) Christmas and Happy (early) New Year! I am sorry that it has been soooooo long since I have written, but the Holidays are really busy, you know?
Because of the huge Denver blizzard that happened a few days before Christmas, Grandma Andrea was stuck in Phoenix for almost a week and wasn't able to be with us on Christmas day!!! I was so bumed, but I received a whole bunch of treats as a gift, so that sort of made up for Grandma being gone.
I also received a new coat for Christmas (from my greatgrandmother, Velna). I opened it just in time for the blizzard that is going on right now - 12 more inches already!
Mom and Dad are talking about going to Central City to gamble on New Years Eve, and I am uber-excited because, guess what?!?!? Central City allows dogs on the casino floor as long as they are well behaved! Yay! I get to gamble as well!!!!
Well, I better get going, Greatgrandma Sue just called and she is stuck in the snow, so Mom and Dad and I are going to rescue her!

Christmas Tagged...!

Well Hello Everyone! I, Jemima Jones, have been Christmas Tagged! I am so excited because that means that people like me, YAY!
So, here are the rules: The player of this game starts with "3 things he/ she would love to get for Christmas" and also has to list "3 things he/ she definitely does not want to get for Christmas". Then he/she tags 5 friends and list their names. The ones who get tagged need to write on their blogs about their Christmas wishes, as well as state this rule clearly, then tag 5 more victims. And the one who tags need to leave a comment that says "you've been Christmas tagged!" in their comments and tell them to read your blog.
So, here are three things that I wish for this Christmas:
1. a ten pound bag of hotdogs
2. a portal or "beam me up Scotty" type thing to the dog park
3. Mommy to get into a good graduate school
And, here are three things that I don't want for Christmas this year:
1. A Bath
2. Catnip
3. Gas prices to rise even more (the more the price of gas goes up, the less we go to the dog park).
And, Finally, here are five friends that I want to tag; uh oh, some of my friends have already been tagged:
1. http://jasonleahdenver.blogspot.com/ Jason and Leah
2. http://apugslife.blogspot.com/ Riley
3. http://www.urbanpug.com/ Gizmo
4. http://www.bambamthepug.com/ Bam Bam
5. http://www.pugposse.blogspot.com/ Willow and Belle (who have already been tagged)
Well, everyone have fun this weekend!
Love,
Jemima Jones Beck

Grandma's Couch

One of my favorite places in the whole world is Grandma Andrea's couch! Whenever we go to visit Grandma the third thing that I do (after eating Grandma's cat's food and finding my special Grandma's House Toy), is hop up on the couch and go to sleep on the third cushion on the left. Sometimes, I sleep up there for so long that I sink back behind the cushion and then can't get out! But, that's ok! I love Grandma's couch anyway!

Ouch! My Eyeball!

Hi Everyone! A few days ago I hurt my eyeball. Pugs are really prone to eye injuries, so I am lucky that this was only my first injury, but still, it hurt!
It happened while I was playing with the cats; I got hit on the eye with a toy and I made a squeaky noise.
It was late at night so Mom read all of her pug book "emergency" sections and decided to give me a cold compress to make the swelling in my eye go down. It worked really well, and I had several compresses over the next few days. I liked them because it made my eye feel better, but they were sooooooo cold!! Brrrrr.
Anyways, now I am better, and my eyeball doesn't hurt or have any swelling! YAY!!

Take My Picture! Hurry! I am so Cute!

Oh Boy! Sometimes I am so overcome by my own cuteness that I just have to have my picture taken immediately! Like in the picture to the left, you can see that Mom was trying to take a picture of Dad and what his hair looks like after he goes for a bike ride, but I jumped into the frame and got my picture taken! Yeah! Cuteness overcomes any obstacle!

The Magazine that Daddy "Doesn't Like or Read"

Hello Everyone! Jemima Jones here! It is warm in Colorado these last few days and I am, as you could probably have guessed, so excited!
I was not excited the other day though, when Mom and Dad went out of town for a few hours (to Fort Collins), to see Mom's best friend from High School, Jessica Olin. Mom has known Jessica for eight years! Can you believe that? I haven't even been alive for two years yet! Anyways, Jessica is majoring in Dance at Colorado State University, Fort Collins, and she had her senior concert a few days ago, so Mom and Dad went to see it. I guess (I wouldn't really know for sure since I wasn't invited) that it was really cool! Jessica had two pieces in the show, one that she danced solo and one that she choreographed, and therefore didn't dance in. Mom loved the costumes and the dancing and she was proud of her friend.
Today, my picture is of Dad's "least favorite" magazine. He hates Playboy and waits for it to come each month (so that he can not read it, and not look at it, and "not like it" even more than the last month)! I think that Daddy is right not to like it, there isn't a single picture of a pug in there! Can you believe that? I guess that the lady on the front of this months magazine has been on the cover in the U.S. ten times and on the cover of the international playboy one hundred and forty three times! Wow, that's a lot of naked!
Anyways, I better go, Mom is making banana bread and I don't want to miss the little blops that she spills on the floor!
Love,
Jemima Jones Beck
ps Daddy made me say that he doesn't read or like Playboy after he read the original version of this blog, but, we ladies all know the truth. Why else would he have a subscription?!?! So that MOM can read the ARTICLES??!?!! HaHaHa!
pps Oh yeah, Dad says that in fact, he doesn't have a subscription, Mom does...!

High Five...!

Hi Everyone! How have you all been? I have been great because it is warming -up here in Colorado and the snow is melting! Yay! No more cold "area" syndrome!
I wanted to show you all my favorite trick - High Five. I am so good at this trick that it is incredible! I can do it anytime and everyone thinks that it is extra cute!!!
In the picture to the left you can see that I am about to High Five Dad in front of the Christmas tree.
Well, I better go to bed!

Coldest Place on Earth

Hello Everyone!! Jemima Jones here, reporting from the coldest and snowy-ist place on earth! It has been snowing in Colorado for what seems like a week, at least! Mom and I haven't been able to walk around Sloans Lake, and pottying is sooooooo uncomfortable these days! I mean, you humans don't seem to realize that when I squat my "area" touches the snow - BRRRRR!
Anyways, Dad is at work today, and after that he is going Christmas Shopping for Mom.
Mom and I wrapped Dad's presents this afternoon, it was fun! And now Mom is filling up the bathtub for some reason...hmmm... I have a bad feeling about this tub business!
Mom bought me a new scarf and I have been wearing it constantly! Sadly, the picture of it didn't turn out, but you can see that it is pink, and I can tell you that it has a skull and cross bones pattern on it. The skulls have heart shaped eyes - I just love it! And I get so many compliments!
Mom and Dad are excited about this evening because the new episode of Battlestar Galactica is showing on the sci-fi network, which means that it will be available for Mom to download off of itunes tomorrow (we don't own a TV so anything that we want to watch has to be downloaded from itunes. So far, Mom has only downloaded Battlestar Galactica and one episode of South Park).
I like BSG as well. My favorite character is Six, she is THE SLUT (and I mean that in a good way, I heard a kid say that as a compliment the other day)!

Jemima Jones Beck
