Waiting for Mom to Get off of Work...

Hi! Everyone! The other day (Tuesday, the same day that we went for a hike with John and Luna), Dad and I found ourselves in the car, waiting in the parking lot of --- for Mom to get off of work.
We waited and waited and waited and people poured out of Mom's office...but not Mom.
Dad was angry (Mom says that he is making his "angwy fwace" in this picture), and I was really sad, as you can see in the second picture.
But eventually Mom came out of her office and we went to dinner at Chilli's - yum! Left over ribs for Ms. Jemima Jones Beck!!

I May be Small, But I Can Still Hike With the Big Dogs

A long long time ago (on Tuesday) Dad and I went for an eight mile hike with one of Dad's co-workers, John, and his "big dog", Luna.
I understand that there was some concern on John's part as to whether or not, I, a lowly pug, could keep up with the two humans and Luna, the "big dog". As you can clearly see in the pictures, I not only kept up, I ran circles around Ms. Luna, and was frequently in the lead, waiting for her to catch up.
A good time was had by all, but we did get rained on...the weather here in Denver, Colorado has been very very strange for the last week...sun, rain, snow, tornadoes, have all occurred!!!
Mom says that she has alternately had to wear her sunglasses at her desk and try to find some way to keep warm because of the sudden cold.
At any rate, the hike was fun, and Luna is nice...doesn't she look distinguished in the picture to the left? And don't I look incredibly lovely sitting among the flowers? And isn't my behind cute in the first picture?

I sure am glad that Dad took me on that hike!

More Mushrooms...And Feet

So...the last time that Mom and I went to the park, we took Dad with us, and showed him the huge mushrooms.
Dad was duly impressed and even agreed to hold one for a picture, and to have his foot photographed with one so that you all can better see the size of these, the huge mushrooms.
In the pictures to the left you can see Dad holding a mushroom (Mom wants you to know that we didn't dig the poor thing up and kill it, we found it that way) and Mom and Dad's feet next to a still in situ mushroom. You will also see a picture of my paws because, if Mom and Dad were having pictures of their paws taken, then I wanted a picture of mine as well!

Humans come in many Varieties

How have you all been since my last post?
Not to much going on here, I just wanted to mention an observation that I have made in the last few days. The observation is that humans come in many varieties. For instance, they can be "normal" (by human standards), or weird, or loving, or strict, etc.
My humans, as you can probably tell from the picture attached to this post, fall into the "weird" varietal....we were just driving along, on our way home from the park, when Mom spotted the thing in the picture with me, and we immediately pulled over so that a picture could be taken of me...with the thing...the Serta thing...!
I guess that they must just like big blow-up sheep.
Does living with them make me weird?

BIG Mushrooms

The last time that Mom and I went to the Berkley dog park I found the most interesting and tasty things...I wasn't sure what they were until I attempted to bring one over to Mom. She took one look at what I was bringing her and started chasing me around yelling "don't eat that mushroom Jemima, don't eat it"!!
Well, I ran off and hid my mushroom because it seemed to make Mom really upset, but when I found another one I decided to see if Mom liked it. She didn't. And this time she followed me to see where they were all coming from. We took some really cool pictures of the "shroomies" but none of them really show the size of the things...the biggest one was the size of Mom's hand (including fingers)!
Wow...BIG Mushroom!

Photo of Some of the Members of the Denver Pug Meetup Group

P.S. Here is a quick picture of Mom and I with some of the other members of the Denver Pug Club. We are the plump couple in the front (Mom is wearing a green shirt and black pants and I am wearing my pink skull scarf).

The Denver Pug Meetup

I love the Denver Pug Meetup group. They are such nice people, not elitist at all like the Lakewood Pug Club (which, by the way, we have been kicked out of for suggesting that we should interact with other breeds and sizes of dogs).
Mom and Grandma Andrea took me to the Denver Pug Club meetup last weekend...it was in downtown Denver at Washington Park. There was grass, and water, and almost 70 other pugs!!! Woopee!!! In the picture that I have included you can see many pugs crowding around various people that happened to have food...we love food.
In the other pictures you can see Grandma Andrea showing me some love by adjusting my scarf for me. I sure love Grandma Andrea, and so does Mom!

Mom's Desk

Hi! There everyone! I am sorry that it has been such a very long time since I have done a post, but our weekends have been soooo full lately, and we no longer have Internet at the house so I have to wait until Mom can go to the library in order to do a post.
Mom was nice enough to take a picture of her desk at the place where she works (which shall remain unnamed for legal reasons), as a travel agent.
In the picture of Mom's desk you can see all of Mom's maps and Tour Books (which she says should give you a clue as to where she works), as well as all of her pictures of Me and Dad and the cats, in the upper right hand corner of her desk. Mom says that you may also be able to see her Mickey Mouse ears, that she earned when she graduated from the Disney College of Knowledge, but if you can't then it's no big loss. And you can see her super cool headphone that she uses to make phone calls -yeah!! Booyah!!
In other other pictures you can see that I am attempting to enjoy some quality time with my Sheepy, but Mom keeps interrupting! Excuse me Mom, a little privacy here please!

Super Cute

I am sooooo super cute...don't you think?
I am also super tired from my mud puddle park exertions.
Grandma Andrea is out of town this weekend, and so Mom, Dad and I stopped by her house to feed her cat.
The picture to the left shows you the first (and only) thing that I did when we got there (I lay down and attempted to sleep).
Mom's current crane count is 805. She has slowed down a little bit because of her job, but expects to be done with all 1000 of them next week... and then I will post pictures of them for you all to see!
Talk to you all soon!

The Puddle at the Dog Park

Hi! Everyone!
Jemima Jones Beck here in Lakewood, Colorado.
As you may know if you watch the weather channel, Colorado has gotten a whole lot of precipitation lately.
As a result the dog park was the setting for the worlds biggest puddle this afternoon when Mom, Dad and I went to play.
As you can see Dad and I posed by the puddle while several other dogs played in it.
In other pictures you can see me studiously avoiding the puddle while my friends play in it, not caring how muddy they become.
I hate getting wet!!! I hate mud!
so, today wasn't the best day at the dog park. in other news, we finally have a picture of Grandpa Al and Great Grandma Velna (whom Mom calls Bon). They both live in Arizona. Grandpa Al in Showlow and Great Grandma Velna in Globe.
I have never met Great Grandma, but Mom loves her a whole bunch!!
I met Grandpa Al at Mom's college graduation when I was about 6 weeks old.
Grandpa took me to the men's restroom with him and I peed on the floor...Good times!!!
