Abandoned

Well, it's official, Mom is abandoning me.
She is leaving for Las Vegas tomorrow (Saturday December 1st) at about 3am. What a bummer. I am going to be stuck with just Dad!
What is going to happen to me?
For as long as I can remember Mom has fed me every morning...so if Mom is not here does that mean that I am not fed? Am I going to be going hungry until Tuesday morning when Mom gets back? Oh no!
And also, if Mom isn't here, who is Netty going to cuddle at night?
And who's lotion am I going to lick off immediately after they apply it? Huh? I need my lotion fix!
Maybe Dad just needs to wear some lotion....I mean, he must have dry skin too...don't all humans have dry skin? OK...it's going to be OK...Dad will feed me and wear lotion for me to lick off...................................................................or maybe I should go with you Mom! MOM!!!

Happy Thanksgiving!

Hello! Everyone!
Jemima Jones Beck here wishing everyone out there a very very Happy Thanksgiving!
We all had lovely day at Grandma Marlane and Grandpa Steve's house.
There were a lot of people there
(including Mom's good friend Shannon - who I love - Hi Shannon!) and I got a ton of attention...here are a few pictures from my day:
First I was gang petted by many people - notice my look of absolute bliss! Second I was given some cheese by the lovely Mckayla (Dad's niece). Later I could be spotted with the other dogs under the Thanksgiving table between Mom and Dad.
And last, but not least, I went outside to work off some of that fatty turkey with Mom and Mckayla.
In the fourth picture that you can see here Mckayla is feeding me some snow...I like this Mckayla person: have you noticed how most of my sentences about her have the words "feeding me" or "cheese" in them? Surely the sign of a smart and wonderful little lady!
The last picture is of Mom driving
us all home in Tabatha. It was an accident, but we figured that we would put it on here anyways!
Happy Thanksgiving!

Tabatha the Black Beetle

Today was an exciting day because Mom bought a new car - from a dealership (a totally new experience for Mom and Dad)!
Mom bought Tabatha, the Black VW Beetle that you can see in the pictures included here!
Mom is so so so happy with her new car! No more making Dad get up earlier then he needs to in order to get a ride to work from Mom...no more waiting around in the evenings for Dad to get off of work - and no more long periods of "holding it" for me! Yay!
The only thing that I do not like about Tabatha is the fact that I am not going to be allowed in it!!! Can you believe that? Just because it is new and nice and stuff!
Sheesh! You think that I was a messy, fur shedding dog or something...oh wait...I am! Oh well!
You can see the pictures of Mom being happy with her new car at the bottom of this post!

Paws

Hi Everyone!
Lets play the paw game!
I have taken a picture of everyone in my home...a picture of their paws!
You now have to guess, based on each picture and clues that I give you, whose paws are whose!
Totally exciting huh (Jemima's Mom's note - please forgive us for the boring post, we have had a long week)!!
So, the first picture is obviously of one my the humans that lives in my house, but which one?
Well...here are some clues: This person is 6 feet tall, manages a party rental company, and likes to cycle!

Photo number two is of someone who is very very smart and beautiful...this animal loves to snuggle and write blog posts - guess who?
Photo number three belongs to my other human. This human obviously has a tattoo on their right foot...they also have a bachelors degree (summa cum laude, thank you very much) in Anthropology, and currently work as a Travel Agent - can you figure out who this person is?

Photo number four is where things get a little bit tricky - I'll give you a big clue and tell you that from here on out (pictures 4 - 6) all pictures are of one or another of my kitties. So...number four is our fuzziest and youngest kitty - who is it?
Photo number five is a photo of my arch nemesis - if you have been reading this blog since the very very beginning back in January of 2006, you will know which kitty this is right away!
And finally, photo number six! I am excited about photo number six because I love this kitty very very much and want to hump his buns - know who it is? Scroll down for the answers to this super duper uber exciting game!

OK...think that you have it all figured out? Here are the answers!
Paw Picture #1: Dad - Scott Ryan Beck
Paw Picture #2: Me - Jemima Jones Beck
Paw Picture # 3: Mom - Rachele Jean Beck
Paw Picture #4: Spork - youngest brother
Paw Picture #5: Wellington - Big mean kitty
Paw Picture #6: Netty - my gender confused brother
In other news Suki Sumo has finally received her Pay it Forward Package!
If you would like to see what I sent her, head on over to her blog and check out her entry entitled "Thank You Jemima" (http://sukisumo.blogspot.com/)

Pictures

Hi! There everyone!
Today, Mom and I thought that we would share some old pictures that never made it to the Blog.
Now, it's not that these pictures aren't good...it's just that Mom didn't know what to do with them at the time...So...The first picture is of me standing in Mom's shadow at Sloan's Lake, the second picture is of me in Dad's lap at home, the third picture is of Dad brushing my teeth, the fourth picture is of me wrapped in one of Mom's handmade quilts and the fifth picture (the last one) is of Dad watering me at the dog park...Aren't I super cute?

Sitting in the Sun with Netty

Ahhhhh... The early morning Sun is so nice for sitting with a friend! Netty and I often sit in the Sun together in the morning, and on particularly cold days we even snuggle in the Sun together.
What a great way to start the day!

Oh! The Shame!

Oh! My! Dog! Mom and I are the worst Pay It Forward partners ever!
Mom finished making Suki Sumo's PIF presents about two and a half weeks ago...she put everything in a package and had everything mailed out to Ms. Sumo (or so she thought). However, we later discovered that the package had "accidentally" not been mailed, but was, in fact, still sitting in the back of a certain person's car (we wont be naming names here).
So, Mom mailed the package out herself last Wednesday, and thought that everything was going to be OK...a little late...but OK.
Last night we discovered Ms. Sumo's package sitting on our front door, returned to us because of "insufficient postage" - the amount that Mom accidentally underpaid? Three (3) cents! That's $0.03! And they sent it back! Arghhhhhh!
We are so sorry Suki Sumo! Please forgive us! We are putting extra presents in to make up for this nonsense!
Your package is going to, once again, be mailed to you today! And this time
IT'S GOING TO MAKE IT!!!!!
In honor of little Suki Sumo, who has been so very patient, we are going to copy her post from yesterday.
Yesterday, Suki posted about how she sits at her window and watches for Pedro...Well....this is my window that I sit at to watch for Dad!
Love,
Jemima Jones Beck
PS...sorry Suki Sumo!!!!!!!

Back Seat Driver

Mom says that one of the most annoying things that a person can do is be a back seat driver.
I wonder what that means? I don' t think that Jill the Jeep has any stearing wheels in the back seat, so I am not exactly sure how anyone can be a back seat driver...in Jill at least.
At any rate, in this post you can see a picture of me sitting in the backseat of the Jeep, helping Mom look out for parking spots, and bumps in the road, and potholes - oh! Look out Mom! There's a ditch ahead! Swerve to the left! The LEFT I said! Sheesh! Where did you learn to drive, Mommy Dear?
Oh well...

My Legs!

AHHHHHHH! My legs seem to have disappeared in this picture! Can you help me find them please?
I would really appreciate it!

Howdy Ya'll!

Hi! Everyone!
Mom wanted me to show you some pictures of the Westernaires show that she went to with Aunt Marcia and Mom yesterday.
They are a little bit hard to see...I think...but you get the idea...kids riding horses with flags and costumes in precision drills.
Here is a quote from the Westernaires webpage; "Westernaires is a mounted precision drill organization composed of Jefferson County, Colorado, youngsters from 9 to 19 years of age. Founded in 1949, Westernaires has provided training in western riding, precision drills, and horse care for over 50 years.".
So, that is what my human cousin Kirsten is into these days...I am currently into figuring out what Mom is doing when she visits the "ladies room" and goes into a "stall".
You can see a picture of me trying to figure this conundrum out at the top of this post!

Saturday

Hello! Everyone!
Jemima Jones Beck here on a beautiful Saturday in Colorado. It's nice and warm and Mom is planning on taking me for a walk at Sloan's Lake and then to the dog park just as soon as she has some breakfast!
Isn't that exciting?
Also, my human cousin, Kirsten, is participating in a horsey event (called Westerniers) this afternoon so Mom is going to go and see that...alas...I am not invited but that's OK because I am terrified of horses!
For some reason the kitties (well, two of them) were being extra talkative this morning. Mom snapped two rare

pictures of both Netty and Wellington meowing at her...I wonder what they have to say all the sudden? Are the Aliens coming? Is is them? Should we all be buying bottled water in preparation for the invasion? Or were they just letting Mom know that they love her?
Who knows?
Love to all!
