Another Sad Goodbye

Another sad goodbye here at the Beck home today. Since Mom and Dad have both recently bought new cars, they were forced to sell our good old Jeep, Jill. Jill was such a faithful Jeep, always taking us where we needed to go - to the park, to the grocery store, to Utah. We had a lot of good times in Jill the Jeep and now that she is gone I feel more than a little bit sad and lonesome for my old Jeepy. I haven't even been in Dad's new Jeep yet - maybe I am not welcome in there? And I cannot ride in Mom's new Beetle without my car harness to keep me from getting my devil fur everywhere...so I am not really welcome in there either...hmm....I am starting to see a "Jemima is not welcome in our cars" trend going on here! Now I really miss Jill!!! Below please see the montage that I have created for you of pictures that have been taken of me while in Jill the Jeep. Good luck old friend! We love you! We miss you! And Mom wants you back!

Love,

Jemima Jones Beck

The Death of Pink Thing

We are gathered here today to say goodbye to an honored friend...Pink Thing.
Pink Thing has been with us since the beginning of known time (Jemima's Mom's note: I bought Pink Thing for Jemima the same day that I bought Jemima).
Pink Thing has been a loving and devoted friend who has provided hours of tug-o-war, snuggle, and fetch time.
Sometime before Christmas Pink Thing was the victim of a vicious attack (Jemima's Mom's Note: and just WHO attacked him Jemima...hmmm?). Pink Thing's chest was ripped open, and his guts mercilessly pulled out. Next his arms and most of his head were emptied. Mom attempted to save Pink Thing, but the damage was just to bad (Jemima's Mom's Note: And the mess! Who knew that a dinky little toy had THAT much stuffing in it?!?!).
So, today Mom allowed me to say goodbye to Pink Thing, gave him a little hug herself (Jemima's Mom's Note: SNIFFLE), and threw him in the trash.
Goodbye dear, dear Pink Thing! You will be missed at every turn! You will be remembered forever! You will be....Oh! Is that my Squeaky Raccoon from Roy and Gwen?
(Jemima's Mom's Note: Well, I will remember Pink Thing at any rate...He was her baby toy and I for one will actually miss his little pink face around the house).

Thank You SO Much Suki Sumo and Jen!

Hi again everyone!
Jemima Jones Beck here to tell you what good friends Ms. Suki Sumo and her Mom are! They sent me all kinds of presents!!! Yay!
You can see just how excited I was when I saw a package with my name on it in the first picture included here - I was wagging my tail so fast that Mom couldn't even get a non-blurry picture of me!
Suki Sumo's Mom, Jen, made me a blankie! And a toy! Can you believe that! She actually made them especially for me! I feel so special!
They also sent me two new squeaker toys (a nuclear green hamburger and a very festive gingerbread man), my very own stocking, an ornament, and one of the bestest treats ever! Can you see how wide my eyes are in the picture of me with the treat? I was so excited!
As soon as Mom laid my new blankie out for me I started putting all of my stuff on it...all of my toys old and new...it is officially my new "spot" (you know, that place where you lay around with all of your toys).
I love it!
Thank you Suki Sumo and Jen! You sure helped make my Christmas special!
Love,
Jemima Jones Beck

Secret Santa!

Oh boy how exciting! Mom and I received our Secret Santa Gifts last night! Yay! Thank you Roy and Gwen (http://www.roythepug.com/).
Don't you just love the picture card that they sent us? Mom says that we should do something similar next year, but I say that Roy and Gwen are much better pugs than me, and that we should not, under any circumstances do something similar next year!
In the pictures included here you can see all of our lovely giftables: Roy and Gwen sent Mom a pug puppies calendar and some very lovely bath salts from http://www.lush.com/. They also sent me a Barkbar (yummy yum yum yum) and a squeaky toy...hey! Is Netty touching my new squeaker in that picture?!? I don't think so mister! I am sorry everyone, but I need to go and take care of this whole "Netty is touching my squeaker" situation. Thanks again Roy and Gwen! Merry Christmas!
Love,

Mom: Still Home Sick, Me: Getting Tired of the Sneezing

Hello! Everyone! Jemima Jones Beck here.
Mom is still staying home from work sick.
She is still sneezing, and coughing, and hacking constantly....
Frankly...I am getting a little tired of it. Every time that I try to go to sleep she's over there going "ah ah ah CHEEEWWY" or "HACKHACKHACKHACKCOUGH" or "HOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOONK" (that's Mom blowing her nose, just in case you couldn't tell).
I am getting no sleep what-so-ever. And I am getting no kitty snuggles because Netty, and Spork and Wellington all feel so bad for her that they are snuggling her constantly. Traitors.
I am also getting none of the normal "Mom is home benefits" such as walks around Sloan's Lake or trips to the Dog Park because Mom is trying to stay warm (aka in her pajamas).
I am starting to wonder if this is all an elaborate punishment for me chewing her cell phone.
Hmmmmm.....
In the picture that I have included today you can see how relieved I was to see Dad when he got home last night...I didn't get off of him for hours!
Love,
Jemima Jones Beck

Christmas Decorating

Hi Everyone! Jemima Jones Beck here with a tale of lots and lots of Christmas decorating.
Last night Mom, Dad and I went over to Grandma Andrea and Leo's house for dinner and Christmas Decorating (Mom and Dad aren't getting a tree or decorating this year, so they had to help Grandma Andrea and Leo decorate, otherwise Mom might have cried about not getting to do anything Christmassy).
We had Buffalo burgers, salad and chips for dinner and then started on the decorating.
As you can see I was very helpful through out. I sat on the ornament boxes after the ornaments had all been unwrapped, I inspected the newly decorated tree for "perfect-ness", I helped Leo check the tree's drinking water, and I played with Grandma Andrea.
Aren't I helpful?
The last picture included here is of some decorations that Mom made when she was just a little bit older than me (I am almost three) aren't they hideous?
Love,
Jemima Jones Beck

Mom has the Plague

Poor Mom is home sick from work today. She is so obviously sick that I am not even happy to have her home - I wish that she were better even if it meant her not being here.
She says that she feels like she has the bubonic plague.
I am not sure what that is, but it sounds really really bad - don't you think?
Evidence that Mom does not sound well: Mom called her boss this morning expecting to have to convince her (her boss) to let her (Mom) stay home, like she normally has to, and the first thing that her boss said was "Ewwww! You sound horrible. Stay home"!.
In the pictures included here, you can see how worried I am about Mom as we drive to get her some cough drops.
Feel better Mom!
Love,
Jemima Jones Beck

I am Going Back to Bed

Hi all! Jemima Jones Beck here. I am feeling so down about having chewed Mom's cell phone that I am just going to go back upstairs and go to bed.
Because I am headed to bed, Mom is going to temporarily take over this blog to do a tag that Suki Sumo's Mom tagged her with.
Goodnight!

"Devise a list of 5-10 courses you would take to fix your life. It’s more fun to be in classes with friends, so include one class from the person who tagged you that you’d also like to take. Tag five."

1. I love yoga, and since Jen (Suki Sumo's Momma) is planning on taking yoga classes I think that I will take them as well! That way we can take them together! Yay!
2. Fair Isle Knitting classes. I am a fairly good knitter these days, but the one thing that I am scared of is Fair Isle! All those colors! Oh dear!
3. Scuba diving classes! Oh boy! sounds fun!
4. Painting Classes. So that I can paint better (or at all really).
5. GRE Preparation courses - because I have to take the damn test, so I might as well be prepared.
I am not going to tag anyone because almost everyone that I wanted to tag has already been tagged, but if you want to do this one then please do!
Love,
Jemima Jones Beck's Mom: Rachele
Ps: Jemima and I mailed our Secret Santa package yesterday! We wont reveal who it went to until they receive it!
Here's a little hint: This persons blog is included under the "Links" section of the side bar!
Love,
Rachele

Sitting in the Sun with No One

As you all know I frequently sit in the sun with Netty of a morning.
Well, today, Netty ditched me.
We were sitting in the sun together as usual, and he just got up and left! Totally unceremoniously! He just got up, AND LEFT! I couldn't believe it.
In the second picture you can see me drowning my sorrows in my bone.
Mom says that this probably has something to do with what a bad pug I am for chewing her cell phone...apparently Netty does not want to be associated with my badness. Sigh. I hope that he and Mom forgive me soon!
Love,
Jemima Jones Beck

I am a Bad Pug

Sometimes I am such a bad pug that I surprise even myself.
Yesterday, while Mom was at work, I climbed up onto the coffee table, got her cell phone, and CHEWED THE HECK OUT OF IT!!! HAHAHAHA!
I mean, uh....it accidentally...uh... fell on the floor and I stepped on it, and it got all dented like it is now...yeah...!
So now Mom can receive calls, and she can make calls, but once she gets someone on the line she cannot hear them...because I specifically targeted the speaker! WAHAHAHAHA!!!!! I chewed it and chewed it until that little speaker just gave up HAHAHA!! I am evil!
So, Mom was mad at me yesterday. In the second picture you can see me doing my "I-don't-care-how-long-you-ignore-me-I-am-going-to-lean up-against-you-and-look-at-you-with-a-very-sad-face-until-you-forgive-me" pose.
I am not sure that it has totally worked yet...
Love,
Jemima Jones Beck
