Recently, someone asked Mom if she really thinks that this (our blog) is "normal". Is it really normal, he wondered, to put your entire life on display for anyone and everyone to see...all of your personal details, and
tidbits? Mom told him that of course it is normal (because EVERYONE AND THEIR DOG has a blog these days...get it? Ha Ha Ha! Mom made a funny), but the question made her wonder - are we sharing to much? Personally, I don't think so, because, after all, there are many many things that you don't know about us...about my parents especially. I mean, you all

know that we live in Colorado with
three kitties, and that Mom is a travel agent who wants to go to grad school and that Dad is a manager who wants to cycle. But beyond that, what? Some of you could guess at their birthdays, some could guess who Mom's favorite star is (Hint: Daniel Radcliffe), but for the most part all that Mom and I talk about on this blog are the impersonal details of our daily lives. I know that that sounds like some sort of an oxymoron, but really, doesn't everyone
shower,
read Playboy Magazine,
spend time with family,
play with LEGOS,
go camping,
chew cell phones, and
sell stuff on ebay?

I realized that you wonderful people out there in cyberspace know us so little that most of you (except for the people who read this and also happen to have met Mom in person), have never even seen Mom from the neck down (except for her left hand and right foot, as illustrated with these random pictures, taken from the blog)!
So, in an effort to help you get to know us better, Mom and I are going to make a startling admission now. This is something that we have been keeping secret for a really long time...are you ready? Ok.
This is Mom and my favorite band. That

doesn't seem like a big secret, or like something all that personal, until you click on the link and see just who our favorite band is.
This is their most famous song.
This is our favorite song of theirs. Please don't judge us to harshly for liking bubblegum Pop.
So, is this blog normal? Are we? What do you think?
Love,
Jemima Jones Beck
