These are just a couple of the bo-jillion sunflower pictures that we have now - pretty huh?
And here is the creepiest spider ever. Now, it turns out that this is a Cat Faced Spider which is an extremely beneficial garden spider that eats tons of bad bugs and is totally harmless to humans, but Mom didn't know that when she smashed it with a brick and then hosed it's guts off of Grandma Andrea's flagstone patio. Oops.
Now, I wondered what made Mom smash this spider and not Rosie, the Spider that Mom met at the Butterfly Pavilion a week ago. When I asked her, Mom told me that it's one thing to meet a "domesticated" spider that lives in captivity and is supposedly very used to humans, and totally another to almost walk into the web of a freaky looking free range spider the size of a cell phone.
I guess that I can understand that!
Love,
Jemima Jones Beck
PS: Click on the picture of the spider to make it bigger - it's creepy and interesting at the same time!

*runs from spiders!* Um, erm, hi Jemima.... that is indeed one creepy looking spider! *shudder* Brave of you to do spider research!
What purdy flowers Jemima!
That spider made our mommy feel totally nauseous!
YUCK!
I don't blame you one bit! A "freaky looking free range spider the size of a cell phone"??! The SIZE OF A CEL PHONE? That's huge. I would've ran screaming and demanded Terry kill it for me while I cowered in fear. I'm so proud of you that you killed it yourself!
And the photos are gorgeous!
That is pretty creepy! The flowers are pretty though... and so are you, Jemima Jones Beck!
Ahh wait till you run into a wolf spider. *shudder* They are the size of cell phone but furry and they bite. Gah. So I am sorry but there will be no clicking and enlarging. *shudder*
Free range spiders are not fun!! I'm pretty sure the momma would have killed it too!!! Smash first ask questions later =)
