The North American Dog, and Other, Bloggers Meetup

Hi! Everyone! Jemima Jones Beck here.
Well, the rain from yesterday turned into a major snowstorm today. We have gotten about 10 inches so far here in Lakewood with other areas of the city getting more, and some getting less, and the storm is not supposed to stop until tomorrow! Wowsers!
I hate the snow, I mean, I REALLY hate the snow, and I will do almost anything to avoid being out in it for to long. For instance, today, during my morning potty walk, I managed to pee and poo at the same time, thus shortening the total amount of time outside in the snow necessary. Mom was impressed, I think.
Now, I am going to let my Mom, Rachele Beck, use my blog for just a minute to tell you about the North American Dog, and Other, Bloggers Meetup!
Hi! All! Well, I am back! Once again trying to organize a meetup for all of us dog (and other) bloggers to be held in Las Vegas, Nevada! Our original dates in March didn't work for anyone so, we have picked a new set of dates: October 30th (Friday) - November 1st (Sunday). Everything about that weekend works well for we bloggers: the flight prices are cheap, the hotel prices are cheap, and there are no major conferences scheduled in Vegas for that weekend (meaning that we should all be able to actually get reservations)! Everyone is welcome to attend, so if you are interested please let me know by leaving a comment or emailing me at rachele beck two zero at hotmail dot com so that we can start planning the fun (fun = restaurants! shows! gambling! shopping! spas! aquariums! museums! hoover dam trips! strip clubs (just kidding) or whatever else we can think of).
Hope to hear from you all soon!
Well, now that Mom has let me have my blog back I am going to take the opportunity to say that I can't believe that she is thinking about ditching me for Las Vegas again! Sheesh! Sometimes I feel like she doesn't love me at all! If she did, she would be home all the time, day and night, and never travel anywhere.

It's Raining, Again

Hi! Everyone! Jemima Jones Beck here.
It is raining again here in Lakewood, Colorado, and needless to say I managed to get my belly super muddy while out for my afternoon pee walk. It's kinda hard to see in this picture, but trust me, it's muddy!
Love,
Jemima Jones Beck
PS: Dad wants me to let you know that he doesn't usually look like an excited kid at a teletubbie festival. It's just a bad picture.

Poor Mom

Hi! Everyone! Jemima Jones Beck here. Poor Mom is really sick. So sick that you might want to back away from your computers a little bit as the germies that she got on the computer while helping me type this may be virulent enough to travel through the Internets and get you, too.
In the first picture included here you can see me telling Mom "I love you very much, but this is about as close as I am getting to you while you are sick. Smooches!"

And here is a picture of Mom's new plant defense system (recommended by Goodboy Norman Featherstone). It's a bit medieval looking, but seems to have done the trick. The plants that were stomped and chewed have been replaced by new baby sprouts and the few plants that survived are growing well with their new, sharp, friends.

Dad Needs a Gym Membership

Hi! Everyone! Jemima Jones Beck here.
What did you all get to do this weekend?
You wont believe that what happened to me: Mom and Dad took me to the dog park (fun) and then Dad decided that he wanted to walk home since he hasn't been able to get much exercise in the recent snowy weather. So...we did...Dad and I...we walked home...six miles in the snow and 30 degree temperature...while Mom drove Bella the Jeep back to our apartment and made Dad banana white chocolate chip muffins. It. Was. A. Puggy. Death. March! I have never been so tired in my whole life! And to add insult to injury, when we FINALLY got home, Mom gave me a treat (yum) and then a BATH! A BATH! Can you believe that? Of all the silly things! I swear, sometimes Mom just doesn't know when it is time to SLEEP!
Oh well, at least I burned off some of that half of a homemade chicken pot pie that Mom dropped on the kitchen floor and I devoured in the time that it took her to go get the broom, dust pan, and mop.

Scarf

Hey! Everyone! Jemima Jones Beck here. Today I promised Mom that I would help her show you all a scarf that she knitted. It is the "Wavy Leaves" scarf from Fiddlesticks Knitting.
"Oh yeah, look at my gorgeous face...I mean, look at this awesome scarf!"

"Ooo yeah, look at my pretty eyes! Shoot! I mean, look at Mom's pretty scarf! Such a nice color!"

"From the side baby, view my gorgeousness from the side...ARGHHHH! I mean, look at the intricate detail in the scarf, it rocks!"
"Hey now! I am not even in this picture!"

"There I am. Look at my lovely, voluptuous tummy and long legs. Oh, and at how long the scarf is. It's impressive and junk."
So, that's Mom's scarf. I am so nice to Mom, posing with her lame scarf and all. I totally rock.
In other news, Goodboy Norman Featherstone and his Woman gave Mom a great idea for keeping her sprouts safe from the evil that is Netty the cat. They suggested putting something sharp, like shish kabob skewers in the soil with the plants. Mom did so and it has worked wonders! No more chomped, stomped or otherwise decimated sprouts! Yes! Thank you Norman and Woman!
