My View At Buffalo Bill Days

Hi! Everyone! Jemima Jones Beck here.
This weekend Mom and Dad took me to Buffalo Bill Days which is a popular festival in Golden, Colorado. It's a really exciting festival with lots of shopping and eating and drinking, but guess what I spent the entire time looking at?
Yeah, that's right, shoes, tattoos, and painted toenails since SOMEBODY (Mom) refused to carry me, and SOMEBODY ELSE (Dad) agreed with her.
Oh well, I suppose that there are worse things to spend a few hours staring at - like Netty's bum hole when he sits on my head and refuses to move for hours on end.
Love,
Jemima Jones Beck
PS: You can tell that we are in Colorado from the high incidence of Chacos and Flip Flops in these pictures ;)

Updates and Such

Hi! Everyone! Jemima Jones Beck here.
Don't I look dignified in this picture? I think that I do. Dignified and beautiful!
Anyways, thanks very much to everyone who wrote to ask about my bladder infection. It is all cleared up thanks to Dad, who tried hard to get off work early for a few days so that he could walk me earlier than normal in the evening, and Grandma Andrea who came over to walk me every single day the week after I got the infection (Mom was in San Francisco, so she didn't help at all, the slacker).
And I am not going to have to worry about getting another bladder infection any time soon because Mom (and everyone else that worked at her office) quit her job last week. So, no more holding it for a long time for me!
Now Mom is looking for a job, again, and walking me around Sloan's Lake and our neighborhood parks in between applications.
Well, it's lunch time, so I had better go help Mom in the kitchen!

Climbing Mount Democrat

Hi! Everyone! Jemima Jones Beck here.
Dad took me to climb another 14er yesterday - Mount Democrat is 14,148 feet high and we climbed to the very top!

Reminder

Hi! Everyone! Jemima Jones Beck here.
Grandma Andrea took these pictures of me a few days ago when she took me on a hike on Kenosha Pass. Aren't they pretty pictures?
I am writing to you today because Mom asked me to send you all a quick reminder about the North American Dog, And Other, Bloggers Meetup which is happening in Las Vegas, Nevada from October 30th - November 1st. Here is the original post about the meetup.
Mom (and maybe Dad) will be there to par-tay with our blogging buddies, will you?

That's all Wonderful and Junk

Hi! Everyone! Jemima Jones Beck here.
Well, Mom is back from her trip to San Francisco with Jessica and that is all wonderful and junk, but guess what I did while Mom was gone?
I climbed two 14,000 foot peaks with Dad - Greys and it's neighbor, Torres.
I am so cool.
Anyways, here are some pictures of our hikes and of Mom's trip.
Love,
Jemima Jones Beck

Here I am guarding Dad's bag...I am such a good girl!

You can just barely see me at the lower right hand of this picture.

Summiting the mountain.
Dad and I enjoying a snuggle at the summit.

Alcatraz.

The Golden Gate Bridge.

The hill on Hyde Street that attempted to kill Mom with it's steepness.

Mom, who, as usual, looks slightly insane in close up photography, at the Stinking Rose, a restaurant recommended by Leah. Mom had the pork chop.

Bad Mom

Hi! Everyone! Jemima Jones Beck here. Thanks very much to everyone who wrote in to tell me that they hope that I recover quickly from my nasty bladder infection. I am feeling much better today and I am sure that it is because of all of your good wishes! But I have some bad news! My bad bad bad Mom is running off with her old friend Jessica to San Francisco! Can you believe that? She is going be there for four days! How could she? Leaving me all alone with only Dad, Netty, Wellington, Spork and Grandma Andrea for company! Hmph! The nerve of her! Well, I had better go attempt to eat Mom's travel size stuff again; last year, when Mom and Dad went to Alaska, I managed to chew an entire set of travel containers! Hahaha! Love, Jemima Jones Beck

Bladder Infections Aren't Fun

Hi! Everyone! Jemima Jones Beck here.
Well, I am on antibiotics for my horrible bladder infection and Mom is making me drink lots of water and chicken broth and is taking care to walk me about every three hours today.
I am still not feeling well though, as you can tell from this picture in which I look less than excited about going for a long pee walk (I did end up peeing six times on the walk but I was less than excited about it).
Here are some more pictures of my walk!

"Mom! Mom! I managed to pee! Yay! Aren't you happy for me? I am happy for me!"

Uh oh, this is my pee (that red spot). Hmm...we'll just pretend that it isn't still pure blood and give the antibiotics another day to do their thing.

Duckies!

"Huh...this water tastes like ducky butt, weird".

The Vet

Hi! Everyone. I am being sneaky in this picture, can you tell? I am looking at Mom out of the corner my eye to gauge whether or not she will be able to see me if I decide to run over and eat the piece of stale cake that was sitting on our neighbors doorstep earlier (it's gone now, but sadly I was not the one that made it gone).
Anyways, I went to the emergency vet tonight. I have been peeing blood for a few days. It turns out that I currently have really high levels of bacteria in my pee aka a really bad bladder infection. Poor Mom is just sorry that she didn't find out sooner but the places that she takes me to pee are all covered in grass, so she can't see me pee when she takes me for walks unless she bends down and looks at it really closely which, well, I don't think that she does very often. Well, I had better go hide; Mom thinks that she is about to shove a quarter sized antibiotic pill down my throat, but I have some other ideas about that (other ideas known as running and hiding).
Love,
Jemima Jones Beck
