Does Anyone Want to Play With Me?

Is there anyone out there in blogland who wants to play with Sheepy2 and me? Mom doesn't seem to want to play right now (she is rewriting her resume again, and that makes her grumpy).
Let me know!

Scrapbooks are EVIL

Hi! Everyone! Jemima Jones Beck here! How are you? I'm doing pretty well except for the fact that nothing new has been happening here around our house lately so I have been rather bored.
Mom has been spending all of her time either looking for work or scrapbooking.
Let me tell you about the scrapbooking project that Mom is currently working on:
When Great Grandma Sue died almost two years ago she left a TON of pictures.
Several months ago Mom and Grandma Andrea organized those pictures and Mom agreed to divide them up and use them to make three separate scrapbooks, one each for her Uncle Scott, her Aunt Marcia, and her Mom (my Grandma Andrea) each of whom is one of Great Grandma Sue's children. In that way, each person could have a nice way of remembering a lot of family history and Mom (who is an organizational FREAK) wouldn't have to stay awake nights thinking about all those photos going unorganized and unused in Grandma Andrea's basement.
So, Mom easily finished Uncle Scott's scrapbook, and then Aunt Marcia's, and now she is working on the final one, Grandma Andrea's. The only thing is, Mom is starting to get a bit...frustrated by the whole project.
You see, the pictures that she is using span a HUUUUUUUUUUUGE chunk of her family's history including the last six generations with photo's dating back into the 1930's. They are ALL (Jemima's Mom's Note: ALL OF THEM!!!!!!!!!!!!! ARRRRGH!!!!!!!! ARGH!!!! AHHHHHHHH!!!!) unlabeled and undated. An enormous amount of them are in black and white and the vast majority are ripped or folded or in some way violated and in need of restoration before use in the scrapbook. Grandma Andrea's scrapbook is already up to 40 complete pages with the end, well, apparently not close enough for Mom to have it in her sites. I keep hearing comments not befitting a scrapbooker coming from Mom's corner. Things like "Stick, you b*****d piece of s**t!" and "ANOTHER freaking unlabeled picture! Oh! And another! And another! And another f*****g one!" and "Gosh freaking darn it! Where did YOU come from? Why weren't you in the pile with the other pictures from the 1960's?! Now I have to find a damn place for you three pages back! Why me? Why?!".
All in all, I am thinking that it would be good for her blood pressure if Mom could get these scrapbooks done. So, I am going to let her get back to it!

Meetup

Hi! Everyone! Jemima Jones Beck here.
Mom says that since it is the middle of October that it is time to talk about the Meetup that is taking place in Las Vegas at the end of the month. So, here's Mom to talk to you about that... I'm going to stay wrapped up in this blanket on Dad's chair while she talks to you.
Hi! Everyone. Jemima's Mom, Rachele, here.
My question to everyone who is attending the Meetup is: What should we do while we are there? I know that we all have plans to do things on our own, which is good, but I mean, what should we do together? My thought was that we would meet for a meal on the 30th, do an activity or another meal on the 31st, and then a farewell breakfast on the 1st of November. What do you all think? Any other ideas? Where should we eat if we do decide to do meals together? Any restaurants that you all want to try? I have always wanted to go to Postrio Bar & Grill in the Venetian.
Let me know what your opinions are!
OK, so back to me, Jemima, now...hmmm...I guess that I don't have much else to say. Being wrapped up in this blanket is making me super sleepy!
Bye for now.

A Nice Day

Hi! Everyone! Jemima Jones Beck here.
Today was one of those really nice days during which Mom and I mostly stayed inside and snuggled under a blanket with just a few quick trips outside for me to go potty.
It was a very nice day! What did you do today?

I attempt to hold Mom Down

Hi! Everyone! Jemima Jones Beck here.
Today Mom and Dad ditched me to go and do the Coors Brewing Company tour. Even though we only live about ten minutes from Coors neither Mom nor Dad had been on the tour since they were little. So, away they went to the 55 acre Coors plant!
Here are some pictures:

This is where the beer is actually brewed. Apparently the Coors Brewery in Golden, Colorado is the largest brewery in the country. It produces well over a billion cases of beer every year!
This is the Coors packaging plant where Dad says that Grandpa Steve worked for years!

During the tour each person over the age of 21 is allowed to sample up to four beers. Since neither Mom, nor Dad really likes beer they only had two each. Mom got a Killian's Irish Red and a Blue Moon Harvest Pumpkin Beer and Dad got a Blue Moon and a Molson Canadian.
Dad enjoying his really fresh beer.

After Mom and Dad got home from Coors Mom laid down on the floor for a second to work on the puzzle that she and Dad are currently working on together and I decided to lay on top of her to prevent any further ditching attempts - no more running off without me for you Mom! Ha!
