Just Call Me Bessy

Yeah, no, I am NOT yawning in this picture.
I AM eating grass.
I don't know what all the fuss is about - greens are good for you, OK?!?
Sheesh.
And, by the way, DAD, if eating grass makes me a cow, then I guess that you had better just call me Bessy!
Love,
Jemima Jones Beck (aka, Bessy).

Bounding...

Into a new week!
This post goes out to Mom and Dad, neither of whom is ever happy to see Monday.
I keep telling them to just stay home with Me, but they always say something about "the real world" and "money for treats".
Oh well!
Just remember Mom and Dad, I'm waiting for you at home, at the end of every day!

Every Weekend...

Dad brushes my teeth. It goes something like this:

I love it!
Aside from sleeping, it's the best thing that happens to me all week!

What the What?!?

That's right all: Sunglasses. Mom and Dad had the nerve to put me in sunglasses.
I mean, what the what?!?
All I said was that it was like, surface of the sun bright, and that I felt like my retinas where shriveling inside my head and THIS is what happened.
I was really hoping that they would do something more along the lines of, you know, taking me back inside, or something.
Clearly, that is not what happened.
Sigh.

The Kitties Want to Say Hi...

Hi! Everyone! Jemima Jones Beck here.
The cats have locked me in the loft and taken control of my blog.
They say that they will let me back downstairs if I just let them say "Hi" to you all since they get so little air time on my blog.
I guess that they just want you to know that they are here and not, currently, being humped by yours truly.
Let's indulge them, so that I can go back downstairs where my food bowl and toys all live!

Commander Wellington Says: Hello! feeble pug dog loving humans. Bow before my nefarious beauty! Mwahahaha!

Netty Says: Hello! Don't you all look FABULOUS?!?!? My butt still hurts a little - you aren't continuing to encouraging Jemima with that Hump Day nonsense, are you? Sillies! Stop that! I mean it now!
No, seriously.

Spork Says: Where's Dad? Have you all seen Dad? He isn't home right now, and I miss him. I can't watch him while he sleeps if he isn't here!

Anyways...Thanks for talking to the kitties everyone. Hopefully now they will let me back downstairs!

Joy in Brownish Tube Form, Pill Bottle Edition

Hi! Everyone! Jemima Jones Beck Here.
I have recently discovered the best chew toy ever - the ever present, but never appreciated, pill bottle!
I never really paid any attention to them until recently when Mom accidentally knocked a bottle of pills over while attempting to take her 5:00am (aka butt crack of dawn) dose.
Being the good girl that I am, I quickly snatched Mom's bottle of Macrobid and commenced chewing on it while hiding behind the chair. It was pure, unadulterated bliss, until Mom grabbed her bottle back and took it to the kitchen counter which, as much as I like to think of myself as an athlete, is to high for me to jump onto.
Imagine my surprise and delight when Mom presented me with an empty and cleaned pill bottle just a few minutes later!
Joy in brownish tube form! Secure one for yourself - you'll love it!

No News is Good News?

Well, you know what they say, no news is good news, but man, these no news weeks sure are a drag when one is attempting to write a blog!
Nothing is happening around the Beck household...Mom and Dad go to work, and I hump the cat and kill my toys.
Same old same old.
Mom is going to Jamaica sort of soon, but that isn't for about 2 months, so won't have exciting pictures of Jamaica for you for a while yet.
And Dad wasn't able to race last weekend because no one races on Mother's Day, so I don't have any racing pictures.
Don't get me wrong here, I don't want anything BAD and exciting to happen, but maybe Mom could buy me a new toy soon? Or Dad could take me for a hike? Something? Updates as events warrent!

Mother's Day 2010

Hi! Everyone! Jemima Jones Beck here with some pictures from Mother's Day 2010.
This year Mom and Dad served Grandma Andrea and Grandma Marlane tea for Mother's Day.
They started with fruit, moved onto tea sandwhiches, and ended with four different desserts.
It all LOOKED good. I didn't get to have any, except for the crumbs that Mom gave me while she cooked.

The gifts this year were bowls. A dramatic black and white one for Grandma Andrea and a carved wood one for Grandma Marlane. The card in the background is from me to MY Mom.
That's right, I'm a good furkid!

Here I am sitting with Dad waiting for the guests to arrive. You will, of course, notice that I wore my very favorite skull and cross bones scarf for the occasion. Only the best for Mother's Day!

Puggy love to you all!

Enormous Prickly Weeds

Hi! Everyone. Jemima Jones Beck here. Last week Mom and Dad took Me for a walk in Green Mountain. While we were out there we saw these enormous prickly weeds. I was fascinated.
Here are some close-ups that Mom took of the enormous prickly weeds.
Lady bugs seem to enjoy them...

As does purple fungus.
Cool!
