Jemima Jones Beck here to show you how we made Mom 7 raised garden beds in our back yard.
It's really simple.
First, get some wood. We used Cedar because it is naturally rot resistant without being pressure treated with non organic chemicals.
I helped a LOT with the drilling
Place your raised beds over the prepared ground. The way to prepare the ground is to dig at least eight inches below the surface into the soil. Killing (by flipping) or relocating all sod along the way.
Then, fill with whatever you want to plant your garden in. Because Mom is apparently turning into a hippy, we used organic mushroom compost, organic steer manure, and organic planters soil. And, as you can see from the picture, we used a lot of it - a couple of hundred cubic feet.
I see veggies in my future.
Love,
